Gavin joined our Wigan fresh produce team back in 2008, working in our Yard and Despatch areas before moving into our Goods in team. Gavin then spent 10 years in Goods in delivering his role as stock controller, FLT driver and supporting the management team as a Zone Leader.
But this was just the tip of the iceberg for Gavin…
Gavin has always put 100% effort into everything he does and in 2020 Gavin got the opportunity to focus that passion into developing his experience and skills across other departments across days and nights. He has completed his ILM Level 4 in Leadership and Management and has recently taken on the role of Prep/Goods in Zone Manager on our nightshift team.
“Throughout the 14 years I have worked here I have seen and been through a lot of changes and at times these have been challenging but it has never stopped my enthusiasm for the business and the people. I still have a lot to learn but I want to progress as far as I can, and I believe I will have the opportunities to do so here at Agrial.”
Gavin is a great asset to the Wigan team and a wonderful advocate for how our learning and development program can open-up opportunities.
Bryony has worked at Florette for over 9 years. She started on a temporary contract as a quality assurance assistant working nights and gained a permanent contract 6 months later. She was promoted to Quality Manager two years after that. She was then promoted to the Leadership Team for site as Technical Manager.
Bryony says: “Florette is great to work for, no two days are the same, there’s always something new or different happening. There are constant opportunities to learn and improve knowledge. I particularly like that everyone is extremely helpful and friendly, everybody knows everybody so it’s a great place to come to every day.
The career opportunities at Florette are great if you want it. If you put in the hard work and commit, this is recognised, and people are rewarded for it. Things are always changing for the better and people always do well because of it. There are loads of training opportunities available, whether its improving computer skills, language skills, gaining knowledge through visits to other sites within the UK and Europe or on the job training by shadowing others, anything is possible. Not all training needs to be external and Florette achieve a great balance of both.“
